Challenges

Cameron + Ross asked us to help rationalise and consolidate their current print fleet across their Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Inverness offices.  Their current set up was struggling to cope with the company’s growth, leading to delays and inefficiencies in the office.

To address their issues, the company required a solution that would provide reliability, scalability, and enhanced operational performance. After evaluating multiple options, Cameron + Ross identified Agilico’s sustainable print solution, including our Agilico Zero Multifunctional Devices (MFDs) as the ideal way to meet their evolving needs while also reducing their environmental impact.

How We Helped

Agilico’s partnership with Cameron + Ross began with a thorough assessment of the company’s existing issues and future needs. The solution was customised to not only address current inefficiencies but also prepare for future growth. To ensure a seamless transition, a phased implementation strategy was adopted. This allowed Cameron + Ross staff to adapt gradually to the new systems, avoiding disruption to business continuity.

Agilico’s solution included the Agilico Zero devices helping Cameron + Ross significantly reduce their environmental footprint.  With Agilico Zero machines they benefited from a cost-efficient, environmentally friendly solution that performs at the highest level, as if it was new.

The introduction of this green solution aligned with Cameron + Ross’ commitment to sustainability. In addition to providing the equipment, Agilico offered ongoing support and maintenance services to ensure the new systems operated at peak efficiency.

Cameron + Ross previously ran several different models; we installed one make and model of MFDs for all their offices.  This allowed employees to enjoy the same benefits, features and provide the same user experience.  A review of print volumes and usage allowed us to consolidate their fleet from 4 MFDs and 2 large, wide format printers down to 3 MFDs and single wide format printer across their Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Inverness offices.

Results

The partnership delivered several key benefits. Operational costs were reduced thanks to the new devices, which significantly lowered the frequency of repairs and maintenance. Enhanced efficiency was achieved through faster print and scan speeds, along with user authentication, which improved workflow and reduced print volumes.

The sustainable Agilico Zero devices further contributed to these benefits by minimising environmental impact, reducing both paper and energy consumption, and offering a lower carbon print solution. Additionally, the new devices offer scalability, allowing Cameron + Ross to grow without worrying about document-handling capacity.

The introduction of annual reviews with Agilico representatives helped the firm better understand machine usage and identify areas for improvement. These annual reviews provided valuable insights, further optimising the firm’s document-handling processes.  Throughout the partnership, Agilico demonstrated flexibility by relocating machines between office locations in response to shifting workloads and business demands.

In conclusion, Cameron + Ross successfully addressed their document-handling challenges through their partnership with Agilico. The combination of advanced, and sustainable, solutions like the Agilico Zero devices, customised service, and ongoing support has not only improved their current operations but also positioned the firm for future growth with scalable, cost-efficient, and environmentally responsible systems.

Sustainability

Cameron + Ross has achieved significant cost savings while also making a positive environmental impact by reducing paper use and energy consumption, all in line with their sustainability goals.

By implementing a blended fleet of Agilico Zero refurbished A3 devices and a brand new wide format printer, Cameron + Ross have avoided 1,500 kg of CO2 emissions, (1.5 tonnes).

That’s the same positive impact as planting 73 trees.
By rationalising their print fleet, they also benefited from reducing energy consumption by 48%.
