About Sidey Group

Since their foundation in 1932, Sidey Group’s programme of sustainable and controlled growth has resulted in the company becoming one of the most successful window and door manufacturers and installers in Scotland.  Their manufacturing base is in Perth with extensive showrooms in Perth and Edinburgh.

They are renowned for their extensive in-house training programme, as well as developing specialist skills and tools to stay at the competitive leading edge of the industry.

As part of their ongoing efforts to reduce their environmental impact and improve operational efficiency the company has invested heavily in recycling and has worked with Agilico to implement a sustainable printing solution.

Working with Agilico over the past eight years has allowed us to enhance the efficiency of our printing operations while at the same time reducing our environmental impact.

Challenges

Sidey Group have been an Agilico customer for eight years and over that time we have installed a range of devices throughout their offices and buildings in Scotland.

Their challenge to us was to review usage of their fleet of MFDs and printers and propose a solution to rationalise the number of devices, maximise operational efficiencies, achieve savings, minimise environmental impact and deliver an equivalence of user experience.

Agilico conducted a thorough assessment of their printing needs and existing equipment. A tailored plan was developed to replace their old devices with Agilico Zero refurbished MFDs.

The primary objectives for Sidey Group were:

  • To significantly reduce the environmental footprint of their printing operations.
  • To achieve cost savings without compromising on the quality and reliability of their printing equipment.
  • To align their printing practices with their broader sustainability goals.

How We Helped

With sustainability in mind, it was recommended that Sidey Group choose Agilico Zero devices to completely replace their existing floor standing MFD fleet which would offer significant cost savings compared to purchasing new models while cutting their environmental footprint.

Our detailed assessment of their printing volumes across their sites identified potential areas of under or over utilisation so we were able to suggest the most appropriate models for each part of their business.

We proposed a blend of Agilico Zero devices for their main print requirements and brand new A4 devices for smaller workgroups.

Choosing Agilico Zero devices for sustainable printing offers significant environmental and financial benefits.  Environmentally, refurbished MFDs extend the lifecycle of existing devices, reducing electronic waste and the demand for new raw materials.  Financially, Agilico Zero provides substantial cost savings without compromising on quality or performance, and the devices are backed by our robust warranty ensuring no risk to the customer.

The machines now at Sidey Group underwent a comprehensive refurbishment process to be expertly restored to like-new condition at our centre in Edinburgh which has been operating since 2012 and is acknowledged as one of the leading facilities in the UK.

The implementation of Agilico Zero refurbished multifunctional printers has delivered considerable cost savings while upholding the quality and reliability we depend on.

How We Helped (continued)

Agilico Zero refurbished MFDs are not only cost-effective to purchase but also come with comprehensive maintenance and support services. This ensures minimal downtime and reduced maintenance costs over the devices’ lifespan.

The transition to the Agilico Zero devices was smooth and minimally disruptive. Agilico provided comprehensive training for their staff to ensure they were familiar with the new equipment as well as emphasising the benefits of sustainable printing practices.

Sidey Group’s partnership with Agilico to integrate Agilico Zero into their operations has proven to be a win-win solution.

Sustainability

Sidey has not only achieved substantial financial savings but has also made a positive impact on the environment, enhancing their reputation as a responsible and environmentally conscious business.

By implementing a blended fleet of Agilico Zero refurbished A3 devices and brand new A4 devices, Sidey Group have avoided 5,600 kg of CO2 emissions, (5.6 tonnes).

That’s the same positive impact as planting 282 trees.
By rationalising their print fleet, they also benefited from reducing energy consumption and costs by 10%.
