Highland Office Equipment (HOE) declares that it has had an excellent year for top-quality furniture sales.

This continues on from a record breaking 2015, when furniture sales grew by 70 per cent over the previous year.

Inverness-based HOE secured contracts across the Highlands and Morayshire for the supply of office furniture to businesses such as MacGregor Industrial Supplies, BAM Nuttall, ABB, Dounreay Site Restoration, Tughan & Cochrane, Gordon & MacPhail, and Robertson Construction Group.

Ewen Gallie, HOE furniture sales executive, said:

“We get fantastic support from our leading suppliers. These include Senator, Sven Christiansen and Conset Electric Desks. This ensures we can supply our clients with top-quality furniture at competitive prices.”

One recent contract included the installation of the latest in boardroom, breakout area and reception furniture to Highland Business Suites at The Green House, Inverness.

Steven McLennan, HOE director, said:

“From the early stages of the refurbishment at The Green House, we engaged with Highland Business Suites to advise and work closely together. Everyone is pleased with the end result.

HOE congratulates Highland Business Suites with the refurbishment at The Green House. It is now a prestigious business venue in Inverness.”

HOE can advise clients of the latest sit/stand desks, bench-style desks and ergonomic seating.

Reception and break-out

Julie Lister, financial director of Highland Business Suites, part of The Green House, said:

“In searching for the highest quality throughout our business centre, we have chosen Highland Office Equipment to supply our high-quality boardroom furniture, break-out area furniture and reception furniture.

We are delighted with the quality finish and also the service they have given us.”

HOE’s showroom allows customers to try top-quality furniture before they buy. This is appealing when compared to ordering equipment online.

“Every employer has a duty of care to look after their staff,” Ewen said.

“Height-adjustable desking has been proven to be beneficial to both health and wellbeing. It is fast becoming the modern way of working.

The option of standing not only helps blood circulation but also oxygenates the brain, which in turn aids concentration.

The option to sit or stand prevents fatigue and therefore has the potential to raise productivity.

Investment in office furniture can also help businesses save money.

We can visit an office and speak to staff so that they all have the right seat and desk for them.

Helping someone who may be sat at a desk for eight hours or more during the day to have good posture could be the difference between them being signed off sick or not, therefore saving the business money from having a fit and able workforce.”

The latest in ergonomic seating and benchmark desk space is on display in HOE’s Inverness showroom.

As well as the wide range of furniture options from Senator, a leading manufacturer, HOE offers the latest office storage solutions. Dedicated staff offer specialist advice and can manage a whole office refurbishment through a popular design and installation service.

Norma Mackenzie, HOE furniture sales executive, said:

“We have recently refurbished our own office space with the latest desking and storage. We would be delighted to give anyone interested a guided tour of the premises.”

For more than 40 years, HOE has been committed to making life easier for businesses by supplying the very latest in top-quality furniture solutions and look forward to supporting local businesses in the future.
